Presenting Simon!

Here Ian and Simon meet for the first time. Ian is thrilled with his little brother, he can't get enough hugs and kisses from him!

Here is Simon Richard Jacobs about 1 hour after his birth. In case you didn't know, he weighed 7 lbs., 13 ozs. was 20 inches long, and is pretty near perfect!

Homage to the Belly

Nick took this picture the night before I was induced. It may seem kind of weird but I thought that I should immortalize the big belly in case it was my last. In case you were wondering those hands belong to Gabe, Ian, and me. I wanted Nick's hand in the shot too, but he couldn't take a picture one-handed...go figure! It's weird, but as anxious as I was to not be pregnant again, I really do miss that belly, especially feeling the baby move and kick inside. It is definitely the best part of being pregnant!

Soft blankets!

Here are my goofy boys having a blast with their new fleece blankets that Grandma Jacobs made them. They have been the highlight of the entire day, we went "camping" with them, they have become super-hero capes, we played a very dangerous and short game of tag (there was lots of tripping involved) and they absolutely used them for their naps. Ian had a very hard time parting with it so we could go to dinner tonight. They are a huge hit Grandma, you are the best!

Welcome to my musings...

So, I enter the blogging world once again. This time I plan on providing lots of information about our family along with lots and lots of pictures! I really just want to have a simple way of updating all of the people we love and who live sooooo far away. Also, we finally got a new digital camera, and I really need to do something with all those digital pics other than letting them sit perfectly categorized on our computer. Let the games begin!
